This is more than an event—it’s a celebration of new beginnings and a brighter future for those journeying out of homelessness. With complimentary entry, live music, great food, and a silent auction, this is one Friday evening you don’t want to miss.

Why Tonight Matters: A Community Coming Together

Hosted by Galveston Housing Plus (GH+), a newly established nonprofit doing groundbreaking work in transitional housing and support services, tonight's fundraiser will directly impact the lives of men and women experiencing homelessness in Galveston. GH+ offers up to two years of low-barrier housing, along with individualized case management, mental health services, job preparation, and more.

The goal of tonight’s event? To raise critical funds for:

- Hiring dedicated and compassionate new staff
- Covering the costs of essential documents for residents
- Providing professional interview clothing
- Ensuring consistent access to food and transportation on the island

The Venue: A Symbol of Transformation

GH+ operates out of a beautifully repurposed medical student dormitory purchased from UTMB in 2022. With 18 individual units, indoor/outdoor community areas, and a full kitchen, it now serves as a safe, supportive space for individuals transitioning out of homelessness.

After years of strategic planning, program development, and fundraising, GH+ welcomed its Executive Director, Lee Norton, in March 2024. The facility officially opened its doors to residents in October 2024—and tonight marks the beginning of a new chapter as GH+ continues to expand and serve even more people.
