“This is a huge achievement,” Keyamo said. “The concept alone, getting the backing and bringing it to fruition… is a dream come true. We are working to ensure that similar projects will follow suit, further enhancing the infrastructure at our airports.”The Flight Support and Engineering Hub at NAIA is the first of its kind in Nigeria, and its establishment marks a significant milestone in the country’s aviation industry. According to Keyamo, the government will offer full support to Xejet and similar initiatives, ensuring compliance with global standards, safety regulations, and quality controls to maintain the excellence of the project.

“This facility represents our pledge to elevate aviation services in Nigeria to global standards,” Iza stated. “With cutting-edge technology, superior engineering, and world-class flight support, we aim to improve operational efficiencies and deliver an exclusive experience that sets us apart in the industry.”The facility will be constructed in two phases, with the first phase focusing on the development of a taxiway that will connect the runway to the hub. The total cost for this phase is estimated at over $5 million, with the second phase expected to match this investment in building the structure that will house the state-of-the-art services.
