In the trailer, Pitt's character opens with an intense conversation that sets the tone for the high-octane drama.
“We need to build our car for combat,”he tells a woman, to which she nervously replies,
“How am I supposed to make that safe?”
“Who said anything about safe?”Pitt responds, bringing his signature cool and confident energy. Then, as Queen's "We Will Rock You" blasts in the background, Idris makes a striking entrance, taking off his sunglasses and strutting through a crowd of fans. What follows is a series of heart-pumping scenes showcasing Idris behind the wheel, throwing his helmet into the air, and revving up the intensity with some electrifying sports-action sequences.
Idris, a talented British Nigerian actor, stars as Joshua Pearce, a rising star on the fictional APXGP team, mentored by Pitt’s Sonny Hayes. The movie follows Pearce’s journey as he navigates the perilous world of Formula One racing under the guidance of his retired mentor, who is convinced to come back to the sport. But the road ahead is anything but smooth. With thrilling race scenes and a team of talented actors behind the wheel, "F1" promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
The film, which began production in the United Kingdom in the summer of 2023, also features a star-studded cast. Javier Bardem plays a Formula One team owner and close friend to Hayes, while British actress Sarah Niles portrays Noah’s mother, Bernadette. And let’s not forget about the surprise addition of Formula One legend Lewis Hamilton, who joins the cast alongside Idris, Pitt, and Bardem.
